Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 it is an offence to supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18 years (Penalty exceeds $19,000) and/or for a person under the age of 18 years to purchase or receive liquor. (Penalty exceeds $800).

You must be 18 years of age to place an order on this internet site. The delivery driver will not leave goods with persons under the age of 18 years; do not ask your children under the age of 18 years to sign for the delivery.

Sale of Wine

Frivilla Pty Ltd, ABN 79 169 603 321, of 16 Apollo Ct Blackburn, Victoria, 3130, is the holder of a Victorian Packaged Liquor Licence number 32052079. Any sales of alcohol made via this internet site will be made on that liquor licence. No obligation to sell or supply the goods will arise until the order is received and accepted at the licensed premises. The applicable law for transactions for the purchase of alcohol on this internet site is the law of the State of Victoria. By placing an order with halfpricewine.com.au you accept that the ownership of and risk of the goods passes to the customer upon payment of the goods and when the goods have been despatched with the carrier by us.

Placing an order with us indicates an absolute acceptance of these terms and conditions. You agree to indemnify and keep indemnified, us and our related bodies corporate and their directors, officers, employees, agents and contractors in respect of any claim, liability, loss, damage, cost (including legal cost) or expense which we or our related bodies corporate and their directors, officers, employees, agents and contractors may suffer or incur as a direct or indirect result of your wilful or negligent act or omission with respect to the website (or any part of it) or your breach of these Terms and Conditions.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, or where applicable the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State or, where applicable the Courts of the Commonwealth.

Product Prices & Availability

Product availability, vintages and prices are subject to change without notice.

  • If the price of product ordered has changed you will be informed by email and asked for further instructions.
  • If a straight dozen wine ordered is not available, we will contact you and suggest a replacement, or offer a full refund.
  • In a mixed dozen, if one of the wines in not available, we reserve the right to make a substitution of another wine of equal or greater quality and price.

Billing & Payment

1. Credit Card

Payment via Credit Card is the easiest and fastest way of payment. It is also 100% safe.
Payment can be made via Visa, Mastercard, Amex or Diners.
During our secure checkout process simply select Credit Card as your preferred payment option and enter your details.

All credit card payments will be processed by halfpricewine and your credit card statement will show halfpricewine.

2. Paypal

For your convenience you can pay with your Paypal account.

3. Payment conditions

  • We do NOT accept international cards.
  • We will NOT accept an order for delivery out of Australia.
  • We may be unable to deliver alcohol to certain Australian postcodes due to Federal or State legislation, or to certain remote islands due to the restrictive nature and cost of delivering wine.
  • We reserve the right to cancel any order that is unable to be verified or processed.
  • All prices are in Australian Dollars and include Goods & Services Tax (GST).
  • Prices do not include the cost of delivery.

Prices includes GST and are for one standard carton containing up to one dozen bottles. Prices or postcode regions subject to change without notice

Our standard deliveries are made by couriers in metro areas and some major cities. We use Australia Post for country areas. We do not deliver on weekends, will only deliver during normal business hours and cannot provide a designated delivery day or time. It is advisable to list a delivery address where some-one will be available to accept delivery. If no one is home the courier will not re-deliver it again; they will leave a card in your letterbox with instructions. For metro regions and major cities we can not deliver to a PO Box. For country areas if we use Australia Post they can deliver to a PO Box.

Alternate delivery instructions can be given in the customer notes section of the online order form; you can nominate delivery instructions such as "leave on back verandah". We accept no responsibility for goods left according to your instructions.

We will endeavour to despatch your wine as soon as possible; normally within 2 business days of placement of the order. Allow 2-3 days for delivery with-in Victoria and 3-5 days for interstate.

Returns & Refunds

a) Faulty wine

Wine is a living product and no winemaker can ever give a 100% guarantee that you will never have a problem, regardless of the brand or the price you pay for the wine. So no matter how hard we try, we realise that sometimes we may have a bottle that is out of condition. For any wines we sell under our Prospect Wines brand we offer a guarantee of replacement wine or your money back in the rare occurrence of a faulty wine. If you have any problem please contact us and we shall happily resolve your problem by sending replacement stock at no charge, or issuing a full refund, depending on your individual circumstances. For wines sold under a winemakers registered brand (not Prospect Wines) we can not offer any money back guarantee, however we will make all efforts to resolve any problems.

b) Incorrect address/shipping details given by customer.

In the advent of goods being delivered to the wrong address as a result of incorrect or poor address details being given by the customer, absolutely no responsibility is taken by halfpricewine. The reclamation of goods delivered to a wrong address can be a slow and costly task as the wine has to be shipped back to our warehouse by the courier or Australia Post and then dispatched again to the correct address. In the event that this occurs due to your error, we will charge you with the cost of reclaiming the wine and the cost of the dispatch again.

c) If the incorrect address was our fault.

As much as we try to avoid them, mistakes may occur at our warehouse. If the problem is found to be our fault, we shall arrange for either:

  • full replacement stock to be despatched ASAP to the customer, or
  • the original stock to be picked up and re-delivered to the correct address

    Both options will be at no cost to the customer.
